A whale tail lifting out of a 60cm circle. A striking piece for a coastal wall, a bach, or anywhere that needs a single statement piece rather than a cluster of small ones.

The tail breaks the edge of the circle, so the wall or fence behind it becomes part of the artwork.

Cut from New Zealand corten steel and hand finished in Auckland. Corten is a weathering steel, so it is meant to rust. The rust forms a protective skin on the outside while the steel underneath stays strong, and the colour settles into a deep rich patina over the first few seasons.

Hanging: Ready to hang. Fixing holes are cut into the artwork and 2 x 1cm plastic spacers are included so the piece sits proudly off the wall.

Please note that corten can mark painted or porous surfaces as it weathers, so the spacers matter.
